Yesterday's Places
Standing at the beginning
Wandering how to begin;
Yesterday I walked where I pleased
But that was then.
Should I know her? Should I know him?
Surroundings are vague as are these faces
But I don’t remember my joys and pains
In yesterday’s places.
So, I begin what I have begun,
Repeating what I said just moments ago;
Trapped between confusion and lost,
Can you tell me who I am, if you know?
To my loves, my friends and my life.
I greet you as if we just met each other;
Please think of me as I was,
For, I do not recall our moments together.
My peaks have eroded, creating a canyon,
Hold me close to your heart
For those fleeting times
When I remember you again.
