Let Her Cry
/ / /// /
Crying Woman by Ilir Pojani
let her mourn:
let her wailing be her voice.
and all the darkness of the world
can hear it and rejoice
for it scours all her longing,
it cleanses her of dross;
a song of love and heartache
that commemorates her loss
let her feel:
all the ripples of her grief.
waves of constant heartache
that promise no relief
when it moves to overwhelm her
and she frets she will survive,
the truth will finally surface,
the pain of being alive
so, let her cry:
let the tears fall like rain.
and each and every droplet
be a hallmark of her pain
she will weep until it hurts her,
until the rivers have run dry;
then mark her soft return
with a smile and a sigh.
