Dearest Hallmark
Graduations, weddings, mothers / fathers days;
Cards for all occasions, dog and cats birthdays!
Happy this and sorry that; what a darling little brat;
Heard you died, heard your sick; Hallmark says you’ll get well quick!
Happy housewarm; Glad youre gay;
Happyhallowthanksmusday!
I’m in Europe! I’m engaged!
Heard you graduated!
Thank you, or Forgive me please;
Or OOPS, this cards belated!
I’ve checked the aisles up and down,
I’ve Googled it of course;
But I can’t find a single card that celebrates divorce!
You know, the kind that tells our friends
Weve parted; its a mess.
Pick a side; when you decide;
Heres my new address.
We signed the papers yesterday;
Facebook me sometime.
I’m glad to say; I moved away;
I’m up for a good time.
(The only ones we tell for sure;
Do nothing to deserve it;
Our bank, the power company,
And the wi-fi service!)
Nows the time a little rhyme
Would really hit the spot;
Not for what we have this time;
But for what weve NOT.
