The Ultimate Sex Goddess
She was Marilyn Monroe,
The ultimate sex goddess,
She was the girl next door
And a glamorous princess.
Her roof leaked from clouds of pain,
Her walls were transparent,
She tried to find acceptance
Through her mental torrent.
An illegitimate child
In foster homes without love,
From that bleak start
She would rise high above.
She was the picture of beauty,
Grace and glamour,
She showed the camera lens
An image that was not before.
There was a magic in her smile
That veiled her private storms,
She did not have to say a word
For her spell to cast its charms.
Under all the glitter and fame
Marilyn had a shy innocence;
All that she achieved
Did not change that presence.
Made in the image of a goddess,
Paying the lonely price of fame;
Marilyn Monroe was the movie star,
Norma Jean was her name.
