Delusion
I’m here for the job; let me see;
What have you got to offer me?
I live at home, but with this pay;
I ‘ll get an apartment right away!
How many holidays do I get?
Do I have any vacation yet?
Where’s the lunchroom? How long are my breaks?
How many cigarette smokes can I take?
How many sick days am I allowed?
I’m going to need my medical NOW.
How long before I get a raise?
I have lots of bills to pay!
I won’t need a locker; Just a desk.
So I can sit down while I text.
You’re going to take WHAT out of my pay?
I won’t be needing a 401 K.
Do I have to punch a clock?
Or wear this uniform you’ve got?
A workout gym would be real cool;
Or just a spa and small whirlpool.
I’ll need time off for Disneyland;
You’ve got kids, you understand!
Who is going to take my place;
When I need to come in late?
But mopping floors and washing pans
Hurts my back and chaps my hands!
When you can teach me how to be
A CEO at 23. That job was just meant for me!
---------------------------------------------
Look at my check; there’s nothing left!
The government’s committed theft!
What do they need my money for?
They can always print some more!
I can’t live on what you pay.
And I don’t have time anyway.
You can choose some other fool;
I think Id rather stay in school.
