You'll hear what you mean to me
Im so tired
My mind is running a marathon
I catastrophize
when theres not enough going wrong
and Im scared
whats been done to me in the past
its not fair
to treat you like that
and hopefully when you hear
the change to a minor key
and my voice cracking
youll hear what you mean to me
youll hear what you mean to me
Ive been up and down
Like Im three different people at once
One that runs, one thats fun,
and one that mostly just thinks too much
and I know
sometimes its hard to look at
its not fair
and Ill do everything to change that
because hopefully when you hear
the change to a minor key
and my voice cracking
youll hear what you mean to me
youll hear what you mean to me
under rock and sleet and stone
is where I used to sleep alone
until you came in and cleared the debris
and saw something in a wreck like me
and each day that passes
I feel more, like this is what I was put here for
to fight and grow and be there for you
provide you with a love thats true
and doesnt waiver, doesnt change
in moments of weakness, fear, and rage
these words scare me too as I write
you help my head find sleep at night
so
hopefully when you hear
the change to a minor key
and my voice cracking
youll hear what you mean to me
youll hear what you mean to me
baby you mean so damn much to me
