Iridescent Blaze
in my room
rainbow of lights keeps the monsters away
full moon outside keeps the nightmares at bay
up all night
my racing mind keeps me falling awake
tells me missing this would be a mistake
but somehow I have the sense I`m just waiting
passing all this time
as it passes me by
sometimes I think I`m deteriorating
it`s reminiscent of
remembering how to love
burn it down
starting over again from the ground up
dancing all night again with the sound up
let it go
tearing off all this skin I`m not using
growing it fresh, it`s nothing I`m losing
`cause somehow I know I finally found me
saw it in my mind
drew myself redesigned
sometimes I can see this life so profoundly
its incandescent glow
only soaring hearts will know
in this place
forever skies remind me love can bear
the weight of all my castles in the air
setting fire
to all the chains I used to hold so dear
and every piece of me so insincere
I`m gonna paint this life in colours so bright
emblazon these walls
with my imperfect scrawls
gonna light up the dark like meteorites
this iridescent blaze
stirs me and I am amazed
