Reunion
Today we come together;
Cross long forgotten bridges.
Sharing faded photographs;
Preceding furrowed ridges.
Honoring longevity;
Respectful of our past;
The young recall our history;
That we may be unmasked.
They prance to garner words of praise;
On coltish legs will travel;
Like us they soon will find their ways;
On pathways come unraveled.
So far to go, so much to know;
So little time to waste;
A tender shoot, a knarled old root;
Come share a moment’s grace.
