Stay Away
Too often we are convinced by euphemisms.
“Stay away” from this or “stay away” from that. As if we are trying to protect our fragile selves from tarnishing, or self destruction.
In reality, staying away from “this, or that, or whomever” is the most selfless and loving act we can do for others. Certainly, they will despise, blame, or curse your decisions. Yet, at the end of the day, you did so to salvage. To protect. To make peace.
These aren’t merely outcomes of one’s self. These are tides of modernity. Symbols of evolution of the heart. Of breaking with the “norm.”
The cycle will die with you - you pray. I shall be the ending and beginning of something new and different. Of not before, but of this moment in time.
Callous and confused wander the masses. If you could only think beyond your door step. You would see. The suffering, regret, and sadness.
Fear not my shallow. For my depth is that of greatness. My symphony abounds.
Cascading tears adorn her pink and swollen face and,
she is mine.
I am the beast within.
