For What It*s Worth
I always seem to make you sad
I guess it*s since
I*m the love you never had
You always look so pretty even when you cry
Honestly I never consciously try
But it*s as if I*m always saying goodbye
That is a truth I can not deny
Always coming and going
A love we*ll never end up knowing
You put up your walls so high
It*s as if they go clear to the sky
As time goes on by
I*m getting too old to climb
Time to retreat in our defeat
