As the leaves fell around me
I was lost
The colors in my mind
becoming my soul, becoming myself.
A scream of confusion, a cry of bliss.
Like the ignorance of a child
craving candy
Why did the wind stretch out
its arms
to help me?
Why did the wind?
When was it there?
I was the child
left all
abandoned.
The distant sound
of rushing
water.
Fragrance of awakening-
A
New
Beginning
Here take my hand
dear child
Forget the sweetness
on your tongue
and
Feel the sweetness
that you are.
