She stands silent & motionless. Her figure captured by a blanket of darkness.
She hides not for fear, but as to not appear seemingly obvious, to avoid being called upon. She'll then mingle & blend amongst the sea of arms & legs, when all others return at dawn.
Afraid of all that she cannot control. She moves steadily forward, her eyes afixed upon the goal.
Remaining rigid & stiff as ever before. Serious & straight as though she were at war.
Weak & impressionable is seen like rotten seeds deep within the soil & earth. Water & sun may reverse something buried so deep, yet cannot change the time that's passed to unrot & give rebirth.
She seems unmoved, unstirred, though flawed she is as pain she endured so very long ago. Shut away, unseen to light, all the painful secrets she will not let show.
As time creeps up upon her still. Walking along side her, up & down each & every hill.
Blindness settles in like a ship in the sea; tossed & weltered upon the waves. She remains incontrovertible & toils not-over how that she behaves.
Still, life carries on & she so staggering too. Isolation, staying near, for truth of her exsistance she had not the courage to construe.
She shuts out all those dear and true in her life in a cowardly battle to acheive a materialistic security that she's always yearned. Of the importance of honesty, love, integrity & on account of her children's sake, she has not yet learned.
While much was sacrificed for the "better cause," this she took to so early on. But will she learn of her own rigid heart & mind and of it all truths & of that to not let go. For if this time she does it will not return, it will be forever gone!!!
