The Spark Inside

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Tuesday, 23rd July 2002 @ 10:16:04 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Deep inside us all
Theres a spark that always smoulders
Crushed beneath the weight
Of the world upon our shoulders

Deep inside us all
This spark thatll always glow
Fuelling our dreams
Drying tears of pain as they flow

Deep inside us all
When this spark becomes a flame
This moment is for us
To begin playing this life, this game

Deep inside us all
As we play this game of life
The flame that burns within
Fends off trouble, melting strife

Deep inside us all
When this flame becomes a blaze
Its time to turn about
To ponder riches within our gaze

Deep inside us all
This fear of life and not of dying
Keeps the burning flame
From expanding, never trying

Deep inside us all
We can feed the glowing embers
With the air they need to breathe
Until they burst, then they end us

Let it burn free

Hi Kassidi,
It makes me happy to hear other people sometimes understand what's going on in my heart, as I struggle to get it myself most of the time.
Thankyou for your kind words
Dean

Why thankyou for your very kind words of praise Cookie, most apprecaited.
I think maybe the fear of becoming, what could be seen by some as, successful in life is because if we did we'd have nothing to moan about and nothing about us for others to feel sorry for! Making us no longer the centre of attention which we once imagined ourselves to be!
If theres nothing wrong with you or your life, then people don't wonder how you are doing, so you get forgotten!

Thanks again
with love
Dean:-)
