I'll lay here with your hand in mine, A haven safe for slipping time.
And you will wrap each scarred up arm, Around my soul, away from harm.
You tell me truths long waited for, And I confess, I knew much more.
Though only deep within my heart, Did I believe I would play this part.
We'll kiss and quarrel and laugh and cry, But with each moment, I want to die.
Because I know to whom you belong, And he would surely cease our song.
I'll wait here, emotionless, for your return, Until you come my madness burns.
Though now you're here and I am tame, Your passionate presence can calm my pain.
But still I fear my moments with you, Because when you leave my sanity does too.
