Beginning of a New Adventure

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Backing my bag, I'm heading out.
Without a thought, I'm without a doubt.
There seems to be nothing left for me.

Mama's still working to pay the bills.
And my Daddy's still working to put food on the table.
And my sister's still trying to settle a deal.
My life used to be one big fable,
But now things seem back to normal.
But maybe I want things to be a little odd.
For starters lets not make this formal.

I'm leaving tomorrow,
To find a new purpose in life.
Seems like everyone will be ok,
Without me.

Ma-Maw and Pa-Paw are still working the farm.
Granny and Paw-Paw are still enjoying retirement.
Seems like everything's normal,
Everyone's fine.
Nothing that could ruin this peaceful time.

Well, me and Justin are still working on this new project,
We're still working on getting Membrane started.
But still everyone is doing just fine,
Nothing could ruin this peaceful time.

So I'm leaving tomorrow,
To find a new purpose in life.
Seems like everyone will be ok.
My work here is done.
Seems like everyone's going to have fun,
While I'm gone.
Don't wait for my return.

For a while, I've been trying to find a job.
But there doesn't seem to be a place in town.
Well, my friend, I guess I'll be un-employeed.
There's nothing left for me in this little town, anyways.
Nothing more to prove,
Nothing more to teach,
Seems like everyone's going to be just fine.
Nothing at all could ruin this peaceful time.

So I'm leaving tomorrow,
To find a new purpose in life.
Seems like everyone will be ok.
My work here is done.
Seems like everyone's going to have fun,
While I'm gone.
Don't wait for my return.
