Everlasting Dream

Topic: DreamsandWishes

Ever have a dream that was so real,
That when you woke up you didnt know what was real anymore?
And at the same time the dream was so good,
That you never wanted to wake up from it?
Ever??

Laying facing the ceiling,
Calming every nerve.
Not really feeling any feeling,
Just waiting to drift away.
Next thing I remember,
You were smiling at me.
We were laughing and joking.
I thought to myself,
This must be heaven.

After a while,
Were still making jokes.
Hearing her laugh was the greatest thing to me.
She curled up in my lap,
And said shed always love me.

About this time I realized,
This has to be a dream.
But how could this be?
I could feel her warm smile,
I could feel her hugs.
This all seems too real.

Next thing,
She reached up and gave me a kiss.
I started thinking,
This must be heaven.
I dont care what anyone says,
It just seemed real to me.

Every time I lay my head to sleep,
I dont need to count any sheep.
All I have to do,
Is see your smile.
And then I can rest assure,
That one day Ill be with you on that beautiful shore.

Then I woke up,
Looked around the room.
Wondering where I was.
Wondering where she was.
Was she just in my arms,
Enjoying the sunset?
I looked down for a while,
Realizing it wasnt real.
I bet I could make it real,
If I just told her how I feel.
But for now,
I thank God.
I thank God for letting me see what heaven was like.
For letting me see what it would be like,
If I just told her how I feel.

i saw this one, it sounded good (and it was) and i didn't think i read it (and i didn't). and yes, i have dreams very similar to that, except different. and i really hope that you can win her heart over, just as long as you cut back on your cursing! ;) lol. good write, i enjoyed reading it. and this is a poem that i'd say to give to her. very good job! (I know, i know, you wrote this awhile ago and i'm late, but hey at least i read it! lol) good job, bones! keep it up and you better win her heart and get a ticket to heaven!
