Never Lived

Contributed by Essentially9 on Tuesday, 5th July 2005 @ 08:10:58 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Never Lived

Coldness stares back at me,
And I blink it away.
Words were never spoken,
And the dreams never seen
As anything but frayed
And forsaken.

I've never lived,
And even when I die,
I still won't be as dead
As I am now when
I cry
Tears of red.

Mascara doesn't ruin
The perfect picture
Of portrayed sorrow,
But enhances the hues in
Painted textures
Blackened for tomorrow.

My eyes are as cold
As a mirror's reflection,
And I can't bear
To even hold
Their gaze without hesitation
Of returning the glare.

You are the essence of poetry, mistress of

the masterpeices you create, this poem

especially the line " And even when i die, i

still won't be as dead i am now when i cry "

all i can say is the phrase i use to hate when

people said to me about playing music in

some dive, and that is, WHAT THE HELL

ARE YOU DOING IN THIS PLACE? " a

stunning peice of poetic perfection . . .

You have such depth.
This piece in particular holds such pained sorrow, more so than you should ever bear.
If I may ever lighten your load, I am here.
