If You Listen to a Silent Movie, You Can Hear the Angels Cry

Contributed by SuperAsh16 on Wednesday, 6th July 2005 @ 01:54:28 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

stranded at the train station,
political whims cause disgust,
numb to emotion and shadow games,
ticket to martyrdom: nonrefundable.

curious interest in all things gruesome,
hitler's nazis and caesar's gimps,
factual and fictional whore-ors,
nonsensical disillusionment.

afraid to be neutral on a moving train,
pick and choose your battles,
always come second to last,
abandoned flame on a one way street.

racing thoughts clear the mind,
the train pulls into the station,
launched from a shaky foundation,
lay across the tracks to free souls.

full steam ahead...

I thought this was a really interesting poem, i think it seemed to sho the narrtor's self-confusion, but i liked that it had a conclusion. I didn't understand the title though?
