Why do you cry my love
Did you think I was immortal
You have shared with me everything
Although I wish, I cannot be eternal

I'm glad the you were my entire life
You have left me without a doubt in my mind
That the love we shared over the years was true
The entire story is right there in your teary eyes

No need to tremble my love
You knew this day would have to come
Instead of my wrinkled hand, now you have memories to hold on too
Memories only witnessed by some

You bend down to kiss my frail forehead
I wish I could stand to kiss your lips one last time
But I've shared more kisses than most men dream of
Our lives were complete when you walked into mine

Lay your palm in mine, love
And I will kiss your shaking hand
Arrivederci
Untill we meet again
