Sun basking down
warmth on my face
a sigh of relief...ahhh
as I melt in this place
Blue skies above
birds flying by
huge cotton clouds
hypnotizing the eye
slowly drifting,
drifting, down the lazy river.
Feet hanging over
dipping them in
cool and refreshing
daydreams begin
Swirling around
all washed away
absent from mind
all events of the day
slowly drifting,
drifting, down the lazy river
Floating weightless,
no sense of time
just me and my tube
enjoying downtime
breeze comes along
soothing the skin
trees gently swaying
sleepy I grin
slowly drifting,
drifting, down the lazy river

and I love the metaphor of a "Lazy River"
spledid and soothing indeed!
