is she all that i hear?
just whispers of leaves
and never too near
to calm blowing trees
her footsteps in sand
will wash away soon
i'll try keep in my hand
that last afternoon
we talked near some trees
spoke words of goodbye
the silence said please
let tears taste the sky
i swallowed my sadness
and kept my head high
in clouds of a madness
that just would not cry
but that's all a bruise
the blues are done playing
i've got better news
i finally found...
..a new drug to abuse.
