Mind Of Chaos

Contributed by Vox on Friday, 8th July 2005 @ 03:04:57 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Coming through the open door,
he pauses half way in the room.
It seems he doesn't recognize his self anymore,
'cause the face he see's is something new.
Cryptic is his chaotic mind
and everything around him.
Blood is covering his sky.
Everything is dim,
everyday he lives in sin.

And when he sleeps all bitter dreams
racing through his head.
Eagerly he tries to scream.
Yet nothing comes out. Nothing's said.

Out in a world of misery
under a cold black sky.
Over a hidden reverie,
key to salvation will he find?

A light in his sky is all he needs.
But it's so hard to find.
A light in his sky is what he pleads.
Seems there's no mercy for this life.

Everyday he seeks for peace,
nothing though is out there.
While people speak with words of grief
over life that's not too fair.

Glasses are shattered in his soul.
Glasses that cut too deep.
It seems he cannot find control,
escape is all he needs.
Soon he knows his eyes will close
like doors that have no key.
Illusion is what he knows most
and living in it sets him free.

The days go by and still he's scared
of everything 'bout life.
No one for him seems to care,
it doesn't seem quite right.

Oh, how he wishes to be free
and get out of this confusion.
But ghosts of hate and misery
insert him with illusions.

eagerly he tries to scream
yet, nothing can be heard.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
