i think ill tell you a story
my life, its ups and downs
the main things i have experienced
the smiles and the frowns
i was born a baby
as if you didnt know
a fat and ugly baby
born with a bright red nose
my uncle Kim hes left us
shot himself in the head
its so hard to understand
my uncle Kim is dead
i loved going to kindergarten
i even had a best friend
her name was bobby lee
somewhere it had to end
my mummy had a baby
whom she gave away
because my aunty couldnt have babies
shes so special in a way
my aunty died of cancer
yes, the same one, its so sad
Madison was only 5
now its just her and her dad
when my cousin was six
she was murdered on her way to school
it took 16 years to find her killer
the selfish disgusting fool
i got me a boyfriend
who hated me so much
i was scared to even breathe
and shivered with pain beneath his touch
i suffered from depression
slit my wrists, wished i could die
i didnt want to go on living
what seemed an empty life
my bestfriend got beaten up
all because he liked some girl
they broke his nose and tore his heart
and tipped upside down his world
Ken is leaving for america
i dont want him to go
i love him so very much
and he will never know
i met a great guy called vernon
who pulled me to my feet
i love him to this very day
as i sit here on my seat
my sisters having a baby
but wait theres something wrong
water on the brain they say
and a heart chamber thats gone
i read what ive just written
theres been good times and some strife
but ive learnt so far that it goes on...
so still, i love my life.

| It sounds like a harsh life, but it is very good to hear you still sounding so optimistic. :) I don't see such strong will like that very often. Nice write! |
