Healing my Voids

A knife was taken
By your well-steadied hand
Sliced my way of thinking
Now I can't seem to understand
What was my fuel?
Where is my ambiton?
Who will talk to me?
And who will only listen?
Why do I feel empty?
Always growing more cold.
Why is it still not enough,
When I do what I am told?
Why am I stuck?
Not allowed to move.
What's missing in my heart?
How is this pain soothed?
There's so much more,
To be discovered in my life,
No matter how hard I search,
I can't ever see the light.
So, I tell you I'm not worthy
I desperately need your help.
Would you do this for me?
I cannot go on by myself.
A stitch was taken
By your trembling hand
Sewing together my wounds
Scars remain allowing me to understand
---
Just to note in case it went unnoticed, the hand is steady in the first stanza to represent how it is easier to bring people down, and in the last stanza it is trembling because it takes far more courage to help people.
