if i tried to write a poem about my two friends that died
one by cancer, one by suicide
it seems it would come out like this
kind of *****ty
years later i can't even perfect
that moment, and that feeling
maybe i don't have any
or maybe it's too much drunk time
and maybe i should write about my kidneys aching, instead
