I think to fast
Jump to ideas
Think about
The worst scenario.
It seems right
At the time
I feel right
For being upset.
But I later think
I'm just being
Overly emotional.
So forgive me
For not speaking up
But I think I'll keep
This to myself.
Don't worry about us
We're fine
I just need to
Get my head straight.
I just need to calm
Before I think.

| the juxtaposition of the lines completely screams, "hesitation". it fits your poem perfectly, and i can really relate to the idea of scrutinizing my own thoughts before i speak. great work! |
