Who were you? A quiet boy in the darkness. Slowly sipping your shy beer. You thought I was pretty. But how does that make you any different?
It was chilly & I could see my breath filling up the dark sky. I was testing you. Who were you? I could feel it now. The warmth of honesty & being open.
Tipsy I may have been, for the better- I may differ. The look in your eyes- So promising. The decision I made- Incompassing.
You said a few short words. Flattering they seemed. I became lost in fantasy. Forgetting dreadful reality. Who were you?
The flame burns brighter now. As bright as in your heart. Each flicker changes my mind. So where are you now?
The emotions you show are as blank as the sheet I started with. Who are you?
And how will I ever find out?
