Every word broke your fragile heart,
And every punch tore your soft skin apart.
You cried at night, alone in your bed,
Your head in your hands, your hands dripping red.
promises of love, and screams of pain,
resonating through your brain again.
Your freshly made wounds wept crimson tears
The reality of your deepest fears.
For he forced his way inside, your body and your mind
And then he left you all alone, except you were with child.
