Hold these tears
Which pause my grief
Hope fell to sorrow's
"Angelic" belief

Those lips foretold heaven
Her eyes promised grace
I smiled for a future
With a past so disgraced

Now forsaken this love
It's chances were few
A tainted emotion
Was all that she knew

To mend all the heartache
I'm blessed so to cry
My cheeks are now tearstained
...I cherished a lie...
