On A Warm Day

On a warm day I like to sit back in a chair
On a porch with my little one near
Soak in Gods amazing sights
Cleary displayed by the suns light
Enjoy the breeze as it blows
And watch the flowers as they grow
Listen to the singing of the birds
Trying to imagine their secret words
Watching my son out in the yard
Able to let down all my guard
As he plays it brings a laugh
Dirty from head to toe, he needs a bath
Picking up the paper, I feel the need
To take some time and try to read
But yet my eyes dont want to stare
At the empty words printed there
When all I need to see and know
Is clearly in front of me for show
Its like a vision of heaven in front of me
And theres no place Id rather be
