Why is it like this
Why can't we do something about this
Is there any hope
Could we do anything at all
Why do we lie
Why do we live lives that are blind
Can we fight this
Can we fight what made us like this

We are lost in the world of doubt
Our existence is covered in a shroud
We are not like the creatures around
We bury everything in the ground

Look at your hands
Can you see the blood you have shed
Through your actions
Through the things you let yourself do
Can we stop this
Can we stop what doesn't exist
In our minds
Nothing seen is nothing known

We can overcome if first we find ourselves
We can do wonders if our minds tell us so
We can do anything if only we'd believe
But without that we can't do anything

Why is it like this
Why can't we do something about this
Is there any hope
Could we do anything at all
Why do we lie
Why do we live lives that are blind
Can we fight this
Can we fight what made us like this
