I am afraid

unsure of its existence but of it I still dread
afraid I'm lost
afraid the feelings deep in my heart would endorse
upon my face
and forever lay
I'm really afraid
of one day when I can't wake from my bed
afraid of the unknown
afraid I'd have to roam
by myself
all by myself
but as I kneel on my bed
and pray for God's almighty aid
I can't help but feel safe
and as safe as I can rave
I find i'm not afraid
Not afraid
