Fire

Contributed by wakegurl77 on Sunday, 17th July 2005 @ 12:56:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

twas a windy day
that day we lit
our Bon-fire

but the gusts
seemed to die
as all our friends
gathered round
strengthing our fire

but as time seemed to pass
they all began to leave
and left was just us two
the fire bellowed
and we threw on gasoline
sat to watch our materpice

but as time seemed to pass
with less and less tending
the wind blew and logs crumbled
and slowly our fire was reduced
to nothing but embers
leaveing us cold and alone

friends arrive to comfort and warm
and our fire jumps to life again
but as we talk
around with friends
we all know that
this fire will never
be the same again

in due time it could flare up again
then die down just as fast
but this fire will never come around
to that time where we
poured out all that gasoline
because everytime is truely unique

A very interesting take on relationships- it makes me think.

"sat to watch our masterpiece"

For some reason I really like that line- in my mind there seems to be something significant about it.
