I miss the way we moved together The pressure of your nakedness dressing my body So that I could be queen of the night Like the moon I miss the upstairs kitchen and the cold tile floor Suddenly warm I wonder why I miss your walk Your frustrating headaches And your unusual calm I miss your kiss Tasty red and white mints Double-mint gum Your long cold journeys calling for my embrace Today would have been four years Those four years now lay before me Like a picnic spread under the full moon A blanket full of Rotting, molded, ant-infested fruits I feel the cobwebs between my fingers Clutching a goblet of wine Returned to water Mile long locks grow from my scalp I curse this damn blanket And set the moon on fire The sun God bless the new day Today I open my heart and set the mad birds free
