mamma bird broke baby bird's wings now they are safely secured in the nest
mamma bird sings all day long but she's out of key she never learned how to fly
baby bird watches other birds soar through the sky but he has nowhere to go, but down
baby bird sings all day can't fly and here he'll stay
in the rotting nest this dying tree in the winter sky there he'll be

OMG, I have known people like this. Afraid of their own shadow and the big wide world. So afraid they cheat their children by teaching them the same misquided thoughts. Very sad this piece. Makes my heart ache.
