The world closes in on me
as I run
they follow me and I scream
but I still run
from you
I run as fast as I can
to escape the pain of your hatred
because your hatred plants a hurt in me
deep within my soul
but to keep from having the anger in control
I run, from you
I glance back, I've lost you
I duck into the bushes gasping for air
finally I rest, aftr years of running
the thick bushes offer shelter
and love, like him, my true love
i lean back to lay down
but I hit something
I spin around to see what
"found you" says your evil voice
Screaming, I run, tangled in the bushes
but the branches hold me tight,
the way his love does
but they are closing in, the bushes release me
so I run
I'm now at the top of a cliff
without hesitating I jump
I'm falling
yes, I'm finally free
the air surrounds me
i'm so happy, comfortable and free
but I glance back
I see my love crying
but our eyes meet, and I'm assured
that it's tears of happiness
for he knew my pain
and understands my quick
and permanent
escape
I say two words before it's over
I'm free
