there's no one around me
no one that cares
there's no one that knows
'bout this night mare
don't know who to turn to
or who to ask
since i dont want
to take off this mask
this pretence is
what allows me to pretend
that i am happy
even when my heart needs a mend
but it also means
with this i am on my own
i've been right on the edge
and no one has known
i feel so alone
in this empty place
there's no one around
with a friendly face
am i on my own
for all of my life?
or will someone come
to take away the knife?
