My friend, I see your hurt and pain
A fragile shell is what remains
You think that you are little worth
Have wasted time upon this earth
There is no laughter, joy , or fun
Winter inside, no summer sun
Lost the will to laugh and play
Autumn colours, turn to grey
You care for others not for you
Love to share is overdue
You are worth a whole lot more
Time now to unlock the door
Have you lost the will to try?
Will you let life pass you by
Or will you look in your heart
See it's time to make new start
Strength and courage by your side
Take it now and do not hide
First foot forward, moving sure
Let new life come to the fore
Look ahead, look far and wide
Faith and spirit be your guide
Only to yourself be true
And see your friend is here for you
