I always knew............

I always knew,
with my first breath of life.

I always knew,
that someday you'd be my wife.

I always knew,
right from the very start.

I always knew,
you were the other half of my heart.

I always knew,
my search for you would take its toll.

I always knew,
I needed to complete the rest of my soul.

I always knew,
there'd be a time when we wouldn't exist.

I always knew,
there'd be a day when I would cry a fine mist.

I always knew,
someday you would return.

I always knew,
even apart, our fire would still burn.

l always knew,
you'd be sincere, tender and kind.

I always knew,
my love for you ,would go beyond the human mind.

I always knew,
for a pact with God I have sworn.

For He whispered in my ear,
the story of our love...the moment I was born.
