I met the most beautiful little girl one day, She was the prettiest thing I've seen. She had rich brown chocolate eyes With just the slightest hint of green.
Her hair was like the finest silk Just a shade lighter than her eyes. Her nose was fine and straight And pointed slightly toward the skies.
Her lips were shaped like a tiny bow In a gorgeous shade of pink. But there was something else about this child That made me stop to think.
As I looked around I became confused For this beautiful girl was alone. I just couldn't understand why Someone would forget to take her home.
Who would abandon this little girl? Whose life holds so much hope? The sadness brought by all these questions Leaves me unable to cope.
Over and over again I wish For answers to the questions known. I just want someone to tell me, Why no one took me home.

Hello. This is so sad. I was abandoned as a child and I've never really gotten over it. I always felt like I wasn't good enough. Anyways I loved this alot and I'm gonna go back and read some of your past poems. take care. |
