i can't remember
the last time i cried
instead of showing my feelings
i lock them up inside
even when my heart's breaking
you won't see a sign
as i leave no trace of pain
on this face of mine
mountains of tears
are there just beyond my eyes
never being released
and turned into cries
my sadness is kept secret
in my heart's protected vault
it is well guarded
under lock and bolt
but without my tears
to wash away the pain
my sorrow's still here
my depression's sustained
