The wind whips through the trees, tossing them about like a concubines fans. And then comes the lightning, illuminating every inch of the sky. Followed by the thunder, that rumbles with an angry satisfaction. And there I stand on the sidewalk,
waiting for the first drop

I would have to say.. of all the poems.. I have read today on this site.. This oneright here is my favorite. I love it! See, usually, I like longer poems better.. because, generally, I think they have more feeling and power.. But, this covers it all.. you explained everything.. and for that I give you two thumbs up. |
