MOTHER EARTH REMEMBERS

MOTHER EARTH REMEMBERS

I am Mother Earth, there is no other like me
I remember when the creek sang songs loudly,
The tallest peak was protector for your little ones,
Your tents slept peacefully, wide awake owl harkens.

Like the leaves from an Autumn tree........
Your Chiefs were brave men and lived free.....
Beauteous Bison supplied your every need.
O' Great Spirit help me n'er to forget the
days when our tribes all agreed.

When no one uttered a word of greed or lust,
We all shared our bounty without any selfishness.
The day before the paleface came to our land,
We were not sick, we didn't have to take a stand.

When our little papooses slept like the tiny fawn
Nestled 'neath the mighty Oak safely until the dawn.
None of our young warriors died before their time.
Their blood never mixed with my earth in a lifetime.

Sleep my dear and precious friends, my favorites.
The day of reckoning approaches when your family
will dine at banquets,
No one will lift a hand to harm you or your loved
ones every again.
That is my promise, for I am Mother Earth,
I love you tribesmen.

The mighty Bison will return to roam near your tent
Your small one will play upon the hole of the rattlesnake
there will be no torment.
No paleface will n'er again hurt you in any way....
The song in my heart sings of a peaceful trailway.

Sleep for now, dream your dreams of times past
The wild horses hoofs that shook the earth erasing bad
memories passed.
No memory not good will ever come up into your mind
For I am Mother Earth, and with time, beautiful
memories is all you will find.

Beautiful poignant write. Yes, one day all the tribes will again gain what was rightfully theirs and undo the damage to the land. All will live in peace and harmony as it was meant to be.

Connie, this was a very well written tribute to all Native American Indian tribes past and present. Very touching. I hope this one day will be true and that the circle will complete itself with all good things returning to this earth. 5/5

Simply wonderful!

I was at the NMAI in Washington DC and was amazed at the history of these people and consider our country's past and current treatment of these pround men and women a tragedy equalled only perhaps by the Holocaust.

They may do a better job running the place than some of the people we have now.

This os absolutely beautiful and deeply touching.
Yes indeed the time will come for all those that have been wronged, greatly wronged, and all their tears will be wiped away.
"See I will make new heaven and a new Earth" - and love and joy will reign"
Absolutely beautiful Connie.
Music and pictures too are phantastic.
Thanks a lot for sharing this masterpiece with us.
Love and peace
Elizabeth
