Dark Love

Contributed by sride686 on Thursday, 28th July 2005 @ 09:48:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Winds of time that are lanced in my rhymes
Twisted with love and greed
Missing a separated love that I need
~
Devoted to thoughts and dreams of you
Awake in my dreams with nightmares untrue
~
Evil Crimson that flows through my thoughts
Pain in my heart as it starts to rot
~
Sight that I lost when I misplaced my way
Lost in the dark as it all turned to gray
~
Now fade to black as I drifted away
Darkness inside of me that today must stay
~
Empty thoughts with empty dreams
Question my existence and the views that it brings
~
Sight that is bloody and vision thats blurred
Tripping through life with a mind that is slurred
~
Golden dreams just like Im a Fiend
Anguishly aching for this love that she brings
~
So fare apart separated by time
Hurt in my heart event though shes still mine
~
Silently I wait like sorrow and death
Dreams in my life is all I have left
~
Now sleepless nights they mooch my soul
They take my dreams like a hopeless fool
~
So death is my door with freedom in site
It ravishes my soul with the reapers delight
~
Crimson Evil please close my eyes
And bring me my lover back by my side

~Steve~

Very dark and romantic at the very same time! i liked it a lot because the immense imagery within it... such as the lines:

Sight that is bloody and vision that is slurred
Tripping through life with a mind that is slurred

And, the last two lines really hit it home
very nice Steve.. it's been awhile since i've read one by you

Take it easy

You have a great talent of showing the reader how you feel, not just telling them. I love your work my Steve. Thank you for the love you give me and the way you express it through poetry...it always keeps our love new. Keep it up.
Your Lea-Ann

Wow this poem is so amazing. We can see true feelings of lost love and this shows that true love is not to be taken for granted.
