Let It Enfold You

Topic: oops

Let It Enfold You

As you let the water pour down on me
I still burn bright for I defy forces of nature
And while continue to try you will find
That as it may appear me to be fading
I will smother your drops with smoke
And I will begin to smolder but
To your surprise die I will not
I shall keep burning bright
Whilst you drizzle dumbfounded
For you have tried everything but
To your greatest amazement burn on
I do, and with all your strength
You try and try and then
I am gone, leaving traces
Of horrific evidence for I made
My mark and I am satisfied
For now you see teardrops
Cannot erase the pain it just
Eases it, but the essential
Emotion remains and always will

tori

Nice ^ ^ It reminds me of a lyric from a song by The Used.

It's our time to shine through the depths, glorified by what is ours.

Or at least that's what I think it is ~.^

Loved your poem, sort of had me riding a wave of solitude, very touching, but at the same time it was bold.

Blessings
