He's Words

Contributed by Noelia on Friday, 29th July 2005 @ 06:15:20 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I remember my dads insults word for word,
theirs no blurre of what I heard.
Hes words are sharp,
so strong and dark.
Hes words struke like lightning,
so deep and frightening.
How to forget hes words, I dont kno,
they make me feel so low.
I feel like Im dirt,
Im wounded, Im hurt.
They cause me unstopable pain,
they wont leave my mind, Im goin insane.
God help me forget,
he's words that make me upset.
I wanna erase everything he said,
never look back and look ahead.

if your dad's words are that bad I think you should do that : erase everything that he said , never look back and look ahead.
you should cut anything that may pull you down. take care.. and keep looking ahead

Hi there Noeila. This is something I am lucky enough not to be able to relate to directly. Nonetheless, I can still identify much emotion in your writing. Very emotive indeed.

Colin

turn the word 'dad' into 'mom' and thats my life. i can relate. nice job. ... spell check woulda made it a little easier to read tho. all over nice job...!! liked it. as first comment said, dont look back- erase what he says.
i know, its hard!!!! and he could do ten million good things for you, but even with ten million good things you've done, people will always remember the one bad thing you did long ago. try to forget, and concentrate on the good (hopefully there is some)
nice poem, keep it up.

I don't know how old you are but the pain in your words makes me want to just hug you and tell you I know how you feel. I grew up in a situation like that, and have to be so careful of the words I direct towards my children, knowing I never, ever want them to feel the way I did. If you are an adult, tell your father face to face that he hurts you and maybe he will change. And if you are still a child, well then the best advice I can give you is this - Do not let your fathers words define who you are or how you feel about yourself. Sometimes parents think they are doing the right thing and truly don't mean to hurt us, but sometimes they do mean to break you, and if you let him, what a waste that would be for you, and what a victory for him. Stand up for yourself, if not to his face then within yourself and whatever you do, don't harbor the anger, let it out, like you have just done, through your words. I am not all that old....giggle,giggle - and if you need someone to talk to, I would love it if you'd talk to me, and if not me, then somone ok. Take care of you! Thanks for sharing!
