Sat down here, an hour ago
To write myself a letter
To write these feelings down
I'm not feeling any better
My feelings built the pages
Your eyes shall never read
Your eyes will never feel
The ashes they will bleed
And flames can not disgard
Emotions living inside
Emotions living within
Believe me, I have tried.
I burned that letter down
Till there was nothing left
Till there was darkened soot
And me with love's bereft
The font was way too small
To stand for such a love
To stand for such a passion
That was all for you thereof
Restating its direction
I titled it to you
I titled it my dearest
And began anew
I wrote down everything
I had built up over time
I had built up for you
The grieving was sublime
For every night you left me
Waiting for you somewhere
Waiting for your call to come
I have just one more prayer
I hope you will remember
All that we once had
All that we once spoke of
And I hope it makes you sad
I hope your pain compares
To the pain I have once felt
To the pain I still feel
In each hand that I am dealt
The paper, that was white
Is now stained with blood
Is now stained with my tears
As heavy as a flood
These wounds that you have dug
Will scar my battered eyes
Will scar my shattered soul
Until my life's demise
So here and now I curse
The day I again see you
The day I fall for your eyes
And know my hate is through
So this here is my letter
I've written you through tears
I've written you through heartache
It's all as it appears
I'll sign it now regretfull
For what I'm about to say
For what I'm about to send
Make these feelings go away
Here's my one last kiss
I'll send it to the sky
I'll send it for my love
I love you, and goodbye

| That was incredible...brought a tear to my eye. I hope I can write a similar one to my wife who recently left me for a woman. I am greatful to you for showing me how to do it. VERY NICE. Great write. Thank you Thank you Thank you |
