Angel Child

Contributed by wyrd_faerie on Sunday, 12th January 2003 @ 05:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Theres a girl, covered by her blackened mask and dirty hair
Laughing, crying because they dont understand
Her broken head full of candy dreams and broken promises
Held in place by her tear-stained hands.
Her pain wracked body rocks without a sound
And all the people walking past turn away
As she slowly looks up, and looks around
Stares the world in the eye for one last day.
She laughs at the sky and laughs at God
She thanks him for everything he didnt do
Tells him it didnt matter what he told her
Nothings real anymore, its so untrue.
And, as she dances with the rain on her wounded skin
And, as it falls on her beautiful face
It washes off the wounds, and lets purity in
It shows some kind of wicked, an underlying grace.
And as she whispers to the world in a voice so dark
Secrets that shes learnt from her thousands of miles
She falls to the floor, and the laughter stops
Spawn of Satan, they whisper, Angel Child.
