Dad, Listen

Contributed by Noelia on Wednesday, 3rd August 2005 @ 12:30:54 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Its hard to see,
but I know you love me.
If you could only give me a smile,
I wish youd talk to me once in a while.
I want to know you care,
make memories for us to share.
I want us to be side by side,
you dont know how empty I feel inside.
I want to let you know you hurt me when you start drinking beer,
dont you know I need you to be here.
I wish at least once you had been the one that tucked me into bed,
but you were never there so my mom tucked me in instead.
Daddy I love you,
please tell me you love me too.
I do everything you say,
you know I never disobey.
I just want to spend some time with you dad,
I want us to have the relationship we never had.
