everyone has a rearview mirror
that shows them their past
you can look back tot he lessons you've learned
when time just seemed to go too fast.
i've looked in my rearview mirror
more times than you'll ever know
because sometimes you've missed that important lesson
that helped you to grow.
my rearview mirror shows the pain i've suffered
my heartbreaks and tears
going through school
and handling my peers.
my rearview mirror has shown my happiness
the times that i smiled
and got real rowdy
and when my friends and i got wild.
my rearview mirror shows the times that i hid
and didn't come out
for my fear overtook me
there was no doubt.
everyone has a rearview mirror
so don't forget to take a look
at the lessons you've learned
the things you took
and the things you've earned
may your rearview mirror always be clear!!!
